"When you see me, I want you to see possibility."
– Chloe Estrella Soto

TRANScend Massachusetts is a documentary photography and narrative exhibition designed to bring visibility to the real-life stories of Latinx transgender and gender-diverse individuals residing in Western Massachusetts. It sheds light on their lived experiences, challenges, and triumphs in Massachusetts and beyond.

Transcend Massachusetts encompasses a physical photographic exhibition and an extended online photography and narrative exhibition. Both presentations aim to demonstrate that transgender and gender-diverse individuals are just humans who play a valuable and productive role in society.

This exhibition is an educational resource for anyone interested in understanding or teaching the realities of gender identity and the transgender and gender-diverse community. It aims to challenge and change misguided beliefs about these individuals, paving the way for greater acceptance and the elimination of discrimination and violence they encounter.

Schools, colleges, universities, and organizations are encouraged to visit.
